Born in 1994, of his real name Sebastien Filiatrault. He was raised by a single mother in the north side of Montréal, Québec, Canada. Banks Atkin formerly known as Young Banks for his artist name, a name that was given to him at a young age by his ability to make money. Banks always showed interest to all kinds of music. At the age of 10 Sebastien was starting to freestyle with his friends for the fun of it and pass time. By the time he turned 13 years old he slowly started to write his own music. He quitted high school early because he felt like it wasn’t for him anymore and Banks was ready to earn everything coming next.

At 15 when he got out of school, Banks Atkin continued to write songs and record tracks every day. Having a home studio in his house doing all by himself. He started picking up fast and wanted to do more and more. One day after talking to his older brother he realized that they both had the same passion about music. In April of 2009, Banks Atkin or Young Banks at that time founded a group called YoungStarzz with his brother. Other young artists joined YoungStarzz within time; two of them were named Kplayz and Hellboy.

At that moment seeing a lot of opportunities Sébastien were becoming even more serious about his music. In 2010 the group YoungStarzz also became an official recording label named YoungStarzz Records / Les Disques YoungStarzz. The first artist signed to the recording label was an old friend of Sébastien and an upcoming reggaeton artist named Young Chaky now known as KC santiago of his artist name. In June of 2010, Banks and Benzo (his older brother) dropped the first YoungStarzz Mixtape called From No Where To Somewhere, the mixtape was sold out within the first week. Following November of 2010, Banks Atkin and his brother were invited to perform with the Tadros Twins an internal pop artist duo. The event was at the Macadam in Longueuil a city located on the south shore of Montreal. Macadam is an organization that helps young people from 12 to 35 years old to better themselves. After that event the Tadros Twins invited Banks Atkin and his artist Hellboy to perform again at the Macadam in January 2011. Following May, Sébastien was invited to do a show with his artists Young Chaky for an event called Rêve D’artists 3 ‘Artists Dream 3’, where most of the young artists from Montréal-North perform. The next month, Banks perform again with Young Chaky and two of his friends at one of the biggest club in Quebec City. They received VIP invitation to perform at the Daggobert Nightclub which contain up to 1500 person on a total of 3 floors.

During 2012 Banks Atkin put his music career on hold to go to CDI College in Montreal and make a formation in Web Design. He later opened his own graphic design company named Bvhks Design. A Web & Graphic design company that help cooperate and artists get the industry standard. As of today Bvhks Design got credit for artist like Akon, Sean Paine, Young Buck, Young Chop, Waka Flocka Flame Calico Jonez, DJ Fresh, Compton Av, Young Throwback (GloThrow), Knocturnal and many more.

At the start of 2013 he joined venture with OG Mack Drama of Brick Squad Mafia and started working as executive along side of Mack Drama. Banks also appear in couple magazine during the summer of 2013 including the first issue of The R Report a magazine made in the state of Georgia but nationally distributed around the United States. From 2013 to 2016 Banks Atkin worked branding himself and also on production as Executive Producer which earned him credit on songs starring; Akon, Sean Paine, VeeThaRula (Alumni), Young Throwback (1017/GloGang) and more.

January of 2016 Young Banks of his artist name at that time re branded himself under the artist name Banks Atkin which tribute his family. During the year of 2016 & 2017  he released music with his new label called Mafia Gang Nation and appeared in many mixtape compilation with his songs but also as a Disc-Jockey (DJ).
